It’s absolutely uncomfortable if your puppy keeps jumping up on people.
Tooooooo mannny treaaaaaaaats!!!
My friend and I have litter mates. We live thousands of miles from each
other, but both dogs are so alike in character, even the way they sleep !
They are standard poodles; therefore, have the ‘prey’ oriented hunting
instinct. Any little distraction and my dog pulls and barks and wants to
get whatever it is…my dog’s litter mate uses the Halti Collar and the
results are short of miraculous ! I am getting one today…cannot wait to
see if she has the same results. Thanks for such an informative,
step-by-step introduction !
” Hole-T” im hearing boston accent? staten island?
Just put the collar on the dog its easier however also makes it more safe
the dog could get caught so you putting it on ensures its going on
correctly thats my view on the matter.
I noticed the person in the video made the dog do all the work by giving it
treats thats particularly good way but not something i personally recommend
just for the command.
I want you so bad right now
Haw to train a little happy dog
How do I convince my dad that I want a dog plz help
scumtoivanez: she use the food 2 learning to geh the halti on it not 2 use
the dog!
You re not using halti, you are using food as reward. You misunderstood
halti using.
Please do not try this at home. Your dog is not guilty about this video
Hi hi! Have you ever tried Cesario Bad Dog Buster (search on google) for
dog obedience? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my buddy had cool
success with it.
Great video and hot trainer.
Wow, one clear example of how to start using this collar. Thanks! Thumbs up
any harness or collar should be taken off once they get home or are in an
area where its safe to be taken off leash (not dog parks).
Hi there great video! Can you tell me the breed of the brown dog? Shepherd
cross maybe? He’s beautiful.
love the accent. the collar was pretty cool too.
The video does not address how long you can leave the collar on once the
dog has been acustomized? Do you take it off after every walk? Or is it
something that could be left on for 10 hours at a time to cover a day of
walks and training?
I adopted a dog from the SPCA and she had a terrible time with pulling on
her martingale collar. Now, according to this, I put the Halti on her waaay
too fast without conditioning her to it properly. She fought the halter a
very little bit, but when we started to walk, she automatically went to a
near perfect heel. It was almost an obedience ring quality performance. Is
this a common thing or is it more likely that my dog has been exposed to
the Halti before I had her?
Halti versus prong? When do you use which one?
Thank you for this video!! The first time I tried to use a halti for my
crazy cocker spaniel (following the absolutely rubbish training
instructions on the packet), she totally freaked out. I felt terrible and
was scared I would break the trust between us by using it further, but
after following your technique, she is walking like an absolute dream after
less than an hours work! Thank you!
Pure meat is usually a good one. Some dogs will work for bits of apple or
freeze dried banana slices but most don’t find them very rewarding (mine
will spit them out or refuse them). If you’re giving your dog quite a few
treats, just cut back on his/her dinner and/or give them some extra
exercise.
Cool
Great video Mike and gang. Fair and balanced as always.
yes, the black dog was brand new to the halti, so we were showing what you
might expect with some dogs. The brown dog was conditioned to the halti
previously. The halti requires patience to get the dog used to.
Thank you for this video… My dog does what the black dog did in the
video.. good to know I have been doing the halti intro to my dog the right
way.. 🙂
