what i did is everytime i saw my dog peeing i shouted NO and if he did finish peeing i would take him and put his head in front of the pee and smack her in the nose, and every time i saw she watned to go i took her to the yard and while she was peeing or pooping i said good girl and pet her, it took some time ( a month) but now she always goes to the yard 🙂

What you *should* do is not get a dog! I don’t understand people who think it’s ok to get a dog when they work full time and leave the poor thing on its own for hours and hours. It’s just pure selfishness ‘*I* want a dog and to hell with what’s fair on the dog!’

    >.> ive been trying positive reinforcement for 5 month now and nothing work she still piss in my face looking in my eyes…An I do a lot of what this guy is saying in the video….and nothing works with her…I am going to use force if she keep this up for more then 2 months….

I would suggest trying to walk them and keep them always by your side. never around your feet. Watch his “loose leash walking part 1” and youll see. I did this with my yorkie, and already within 20 mins I had great success

I’m getting a puppy lab about 9 weeks, on the weekday’s I’m going to be gone for 6 hours. What should I do??

Question: How do you leash a 1.4 pound puppy? I tried this with my previous Maltese and stepped on her a few times, which wound up in a fracture. Do you have any other options for smaller puppies?

  7. HaloAubreeMarie says:

Right! Mine doesn’t understand how to hold it’s bladder. Sometimes it will go even if it’s just a few drops. This will be fun 😉

  8. Jason Jia says:

thanks for thee tip! now,its been 2 months and she is almost potty traine (going outside) 😀

  9. Tracey DeFratus says:

If you train her to go on a pad it will be harder to train her to go outside later. You are training her that going in the house is OK. If you can catch her at it, take her outside if possible, this will teach her not to go in the house at all & she may be more likely to go if you let her find a spot outside.

  10. Tracey DeFratus says:

If you keep your dog crated because the will not go in the crate, DO NOT leave them long w/o taking them out. When a dog holds “it” for so long & often it can cause them to get urinary tract infections & stuff. When you need to go, you go, afford them the same courtesy. In a sense, when you leave them in a crate for hrs because they will not soil it, you are punishing good behavior.

  11. Tracey DeFratus says:

Are you w/her much? When trying to train them you have to be w/them a lot! Otherwise you will not be there when she needs to go so cannot take her out. Another thing, when taking a dog to go to bathroom, let them pick the place if possible. Some are really picky.

  12. Tracey DeFratus says:

I would also like to say that if you train your dog to go on a pad, it is training them to go in the house. You should start training outside if possible.

In my experience, Chows are one of the EASIEST breeds to house train. Mine have pretty much always house trained themselves, even from young puppies! They don’t seem to want to go in their own territory. Mine have always gone a long way off. I have 2 – 1/2 German Shepherd 1/2 Wolf dogs that we got at 4 wks old because the mother had 13 & could no longer feed them all. I had to take them out at least every 2 hrs, every time they wake from a nap & usually every time they eat & drink for sure.

  14. obsessedfae says:

depends on the age. if they are really young, no just confine them to a room with puppy pads and the crate for them to sleep and some room to play. If they are able to hold it for as long as you are gone, then they should be ok being crated. If a puppy is 1 month old, they can only hold for one hour, 2 months is two hours and so on. so determine how long you will be gone and if its too long then just confine to a room.

lol Solea was like, hurry up man i have to drop a huge one!

  16. boldarbiter says:

Having your dog crate trained is the most effective way, but some dogs (most German Shepherds, or Poodles, even) know how to open crates, so you may have to use a bungee coord for a truck, or something like that to keep it closed to they may not use their nose to open the cage. 5 months later than you wanted, but hopefully you still make use of the information. Ignore the dog if it whines in the cage, and it will get used to it. Only let it out if it’s being calm, and he/she will be used to it.

Love your videos….One Crucial point….it may take the dog 20 minutes to empty his bladder. Thus if you take him inside as soon as he has done his first pee, you may find he does another once inside the house. Give the Dog a chance to empty his bladder – especially his first morning pee.

OK. First let me say that your video is excellent. You brought out a few things I never even thought about. Thank you for your help with this.

Now… Have you ever seen CREEPY GIRLFRIEND??? Google her. You BOTH HAVE THE SAME PSYCHOTIC EYES… Haha. Just sayin. Again thanks for the HIGHLY helpful video. I will try your techniques.

    Peace…

This still surprise me, how lots of people have no idea about Xobodog Training (do a search on google), even though many people solve their dog behavior problems with this training program. Thanks to my buddy who told me about Xobodog Training, I have have a better relationship with my beloved pet.

my dog was 12 months old and he still had issues. It took really strict, consistent training to teach him to go only outside. Luckily, he won’t go inside the crate, so he had to sometimes hold it for two-three hours until I had time to take him out (I’m in college). He basically learned eventually that when I take him out, he better go or he’s going to have to hold it till I have time which is unpredictable (could be in thirty minutes, an hour, or three hours later). It’s just a lot of patience

  22. tea4al says:

if you take her outside and she does not pee, don’t take her to the garden and instead crate her. Don’t say anything (no punishment, no reward, no walking freely inside the house). Take her outside in 15 minutes and then go out again and wait .If she doesn’t repeat the process until she does. It’s sort of basically reteaching her to go to the bathroom. If you have a command that you use for her bathroom time, then it’ll help saying it when you take her outside 🙂

  23. teknogirl127 says:

I’ve taught my puppy to use the garden for toilet but now she has had jags and can go outside, she still waits until she gets back to garden to do the toilet-how can I get her to go outside of the garden?

  24. joheartssuperman says:

ok. ive decided not to get a puppy for now.

  25. AmishRiot says:

I think the only way would be to put her on a leash and stand there with her until she goes and give her a treat everytime. It might take a while so you will have to have patience. Load her up with a bunch of water and wait until shes busting to go
