I have a 6 week old boxer and she hates being in there I have tried the method and it did not work after I locked the door she would quickly start barking I would throw the treat in the cage and take her out about 15 times help
ITS A TRAP O.O
if i am supposed to train my pup slowly, and wait till he is comfy going in before i close the door how am i supposed to crate my pup the first night ???? please help ?
What kind of puppy treats are you feeding your little one?
Your dog is so cute. :3
SAME HERE!!! she is so loud the neighbors down the hall wonder what the hell were doing to her:(
Yes, she’s gorgeous and is a Jack Russell puppy 🙂
My dog doesn’t like the crate it sucks I have to put her in there without wanting to be. She wants to be held all the time, she poops everywhere and she pees everywhere so this crate is the best thing that has happened. She hates being in the crate and whines for about 30 mins then she falls asleep. I’ve tried to get her to go in the crate her own, put treats, toys everything. What do you suggest? I’ve tried everything.
What a cutie! What type of pup is she? (Besides – LOVED! hahaha)
thus was a great video now my Yorkie Poo can go in the crate come not cry and scream——-THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well if he pees durring the night then i would wake up every three houre to have him/her go to the yard ar potty place. if its durring the day then i would comfront him/her gently. DONT yell, rub there nose in the spot, or hit them. Then take the dog to the potty place or yard ASAP. if ypur doge seems to have a bladder problem then go to your vet, but if its a puppy, i wouldnt worry about it, they cant hold it as long. hope this helps!
i dont think so when i got my first dog from the shelter, she loved the crate and when i thought she needed some alone time, i said go to your cage and she went
Will this be a problem if I got my dog from a shelter?
My dog pees in his crate! What do I do
Great video, very helpful thanks.
yeah what kine of bread is that?
shes so cute what kind of dog breed is that
what kind of bread is that??
That is the cutest puppy ever! I was wondering how to do the crate training. My mom thinks it’s cruel.
Great video! What is the crate size in this video? My Shih Tzu will be 8 weeks old when I get her. I plan to crate train her as a puppy and eventually take the crate away. She will be 7-9 pounds as an adult. What size crate do you suggest? I purchased the 30″. Thanks!
oops…”keep pets safe in the car” not care :)
Yeah, I’ve always liked the plastic kennel crates because they are more cozy and den-like, also you can use them for travel and keep pets safe in the care. The plastic crates are also less expensive. On the other hand the wire crate is nicer to look at, and isn’t as much as an eye-sore if you plan to place it in the living room. The dog also gets more ventilation.
Thanks for the tips!
That’s great you like my video – thank you 🙂
The type of crate will be a personal preference (for both humans and dogs) – I personally like the wire type like the one in the video. It’s best to test where to place the crate – where he/she can see is usually good unless it creates a stressful reaction in them such as something passing a window etc. Test when you are home so you feel confident that he/she is OK when you are out 🙂
This is the best crate training video I’ve come across yet, even better than Howdini and the Petsmart video that I had to actually pay for! Thanks so much!
What type of crate do you recommend to purchase (plastic-sided or wire) and why? Also, where is the best suited place to put a crate in the house – should it be somewhere where the dog can see everything that’s going on or in a quiet, isolated room?
If you’re not able to use puppy treats then use a toy or something he really likes to bring him in and out of the crate.
