Hi, I have an 8 week old yorkie puppy who I am trying to train on potty pads but have already bought a indoor potty grate. I always keep the pad in the same place and plan to put the grate there also. The grate is my ultimate goal. I am very consistent and take her to it constantly and then praise and give her a treat. How do you think I should transition to the grate and when? also, about how long would you say it would take to train?
I love the whole idea also especially with coated breeds that you want to keep the paws nice and white!

Thanks I am in Minneaoplis, MN I have tried potty pad trays and such with my other Shih Tzus in the past Addie is 100% trained on paper but her hair is getting longer and I dont want her to step in the mess plus we are showing her so she cant have dirty / discolored hair from the ink.
