Very late responce, sorry. She is now an adult,But she is a small dog,and they are quite hard to train apparently.
She still cant seem to go for long hours,I let her out last thing at night, and there is at least 3 pees on the pad in the morning.
Also, she still likes to pee on the pad in the day, even when I let her out.Given up really.Where is Caesar when you need him.
i am having the same problem…. did you figure out on how to fix it?
I was told the same by a vet for my pit/lab mix because she isn’t vaccinated and can catch diseases like parvo which is extremely common in the county I live in. I think that the pads couldn’t hurt at least until the dog is vaccinated and teach them to go outside.
But what about at night, its ok in the day,but my dog can not go for 7-8 hours at night without a pee. Also, she is quite addicted to the pads, and if i take her outside, she sometimes wont pee,and then pees on the puppy pad when we come in,grrr, its annoying.
the thing with outside though. how can you bring your dog outside when your not home
sry to say 10 hours is to long for them, you may want to try some pads
a dog can’t hold it’s pee and poop for 10 hours, maybe you should put puppy pads in the gate.
i have a chihuahua named chloe. she has been pad trained since she was very small and now she is 3 years old. we have a specific area of the house where her pad is and she always uses it even pooping. i work 6 hours a day and i dont have to worry about whether she has to go out to potty. its very convenient. i can take her on vacation and place a pad down and thats where she will go. its great. when outside, she uses the grass or dirt. i love pads!
I have a 2month old shep/husky and they told me to use pee pads which I have been doing because they said she’s too young to go outside. What do I do in that circumstance. She is also nawing at my hand with her razor teeth how do I get her to stop this without traumaising her bc I just go her?
We used pee pads to train. I never moved it closer to the door though. It’s always been in the same spot in our laundry room. The only time I ever really put her in their to go, though, was when it was really cold outside. Chihuahuas hate the cold (good thing I’m in TX lol). Poor Pebbles would just stand their and shakes (doggie sweater or not) last year when it was cold. Now she runs for it, does her business and runs back to the door. ha!
i seriously recomend a doggy door…you juast have to traain them to use it
i have a question. When im at home, i keep my 2 dogs with me in the same room all the time. whether its in my room or computer room, etc. they always go outside to pee and poo. while im at work, i put them in the bathroom with the baby gate up. ( i work 10 hrs and live alone) when i come home, theres pee/poo on the floor. I would like to know, how do i get them to wait for me to get home then do their business outside?
But I live in a APT. I can’t go down every minute. So, then how do I train a dog to pee or poo on Newspaper or special dog waste trays? Do, the sprays which make a dog just want to pee there ( I don’t know what it’s called) help?? Pllsss help me…
all of your videos are really helpful
I try the crate, but my american cocker “goes”as soon that I open the doors of the crate. I have to carry him outside!!!
… So I am back to the pee pad
