Sorry to bring up an old comment. I don’t personally have a problem with your method but I think you just need to know that crate training isn’t cruel when used appropriately. A puppy likes to have it’s own private place which is its own territory. It’s very useful for toilet training as a pup won’t make a mess in it’s own sleeping place and it helps it get used to travelling in crates. As long as it’s never used as a punishment, it’s a very rewarding technique.

A) not every dog will bleed….. B) with 4 MILLION animals dying in shelters every freakin’ year in the USA you need to spay your dog. It’s better as a responsible pet owner and it’s better for their health.
In my humble opinion I’ve seen puppies in the shelter like this and it’s def got some Husky in it. Possibly full blooded but I HIGHLY doubt it. You can find these sorts of dogs in shelters across america every day.

I don’t understand why people have animals as pets, then complain when the pet behaves like the very thing it is…an Animal. I take it the person never wet the bed when they were young. And wonder how their mum felt cleaning up after their piss every morning. Not all female dogs bleed everywhere, what an exaggeration. A lot of dogs clean up after themselves.

Im not an idiot! Maybe you should re-read your first insult before you osted because it made no damn sence. Dogs arn’t just an animal, I treat my little girl as my best friend. I feed her at night, let her go out for a pee and poo and then she has a choice, to sleep in her igloo in the dark or come sleep on my bed while I study. My dog is de-sexed so she won’t get her period.

If you put him in the punishment cage, oops I mean ‘crate’. You shouldn’t lock him in there because what if he needs to pee in the night? Its just mean in my opinion. I let my 18 week old puppy girl lay on my bed and I massage her tummy until she falls asleep! I wouldn’t even think of locking her in a cage. -.-

The stuff which they put into pet food induces cancerous cells and tends to make dogs pass away young. I figured that out the tough way when my doggie passed away aged 7.

That is sad and true, but its not really the idea of locking them up, its more like the idea of telling them go to sleep, go to bed.
Keep your dog busy during the night or morning or whatever, put 2 stuffed kongs in their “bed/crate” with a toy the absolutely love and leave for the day, they’ll be fine for at least 3-5 hours. I know its not great, but a destructive dog needs to be in a crate while your gone, until they learn not to be destructive.
I used to work for the humane society. We used to try to keep the dogs occupied as much as possible. Sitting there in these kennels they would loose hope! You could tell what dogs have been there for many months. They would sleep all the time, be depressed as if the life got sucked out of them.It’s ABSOLUTELY HEARTbreaking!That’s why I don’t like CAGES!!I also use KONGS…I stuff them with all kinds of food and my dogs stay busy with them for a good while.They are my best friends and family!!!
