  3. Inez Patino says:

This looks good with a relaxed dog but what about one that’s very
    distracted and a bit hyper?

  4. Miss Baker says:

What does ” heel ” mean

  5. kalluri sandeep says:

    Your dog is beautiful

  6. Hannah Carrillo says:

This is terrible. If you want a nice, precise heel, check out Tyler Muto’s
    competition heeling.

  7. Edmond Kan says:

omg. has this actually worked for anyone? e.g. walking your dog outside
around other dogs and other distractions? 1 in 100,000?? Anyone?? lol.

  8. pacrii says:

I’m not convinced much was accomplished. The dog that already knows how to
walk on the left is being rewarded and praised for – walking on the left.
There was discernible difference in the dog’s behavior.

  9. Ross Hind says:

This isn’t real world dog training. It would be rare to get this to work
out and about with other distractions. The purely positive crowds
techniques are neither purely positive (leash is negative reinforcement for
example) or reliably effective in my view. Lets see him do that at the dog
park, when you don’t have treats in your hand.

my puppy is a chihuahua mix and is about 8 inches tall. not sure how to
adapt the lure/hand signal for a short puppy

  11. Sam Martin says:

Good video Victoria. But like an earlier commenter implies that won’t be so
easily done with people who have small dogs like myself. What are we to do?

  12. Jessica Stull says:

Victoria! I loved watching her TV show!!!!

  13. N7J098 says:

    What breed is that ?

  14. Sajan Thomas says:

pls try with dog which is not obedient..

  15. Abdulrhaman Ahmad says:

that is not working with my dog, he just keep pulling on opposite side and
sometimes jump and got pain then coughing! walking on leash is a very bad
    time !

  16. Karen C says:

Kikopup also has some very helpful training videos for your puppy. All
positive reinforcement, using clicker, luring, shaping, etc. They have
helped me with troubleshooting when our pup was brand new to our home.

What type of dog is here? He is adorable 🙂

  19. Precious11105 says:

could you also try doing this with a smaller dog. because my dog is so big
    because she’s a chihuahua

  20. SlaterBug077 says:

Does anyone know the difference between loose leash walking and heeling? I
    have no idea.

  21. FastestCores says:

Wat camera r they using?? It’s in a really clear HD video on my iPhone 4.

  22. Pádraig Bowen says:

@eHowPets look up long lead training. Teach your pup from the outside to
in. From perfect recall teaching heel is very easy. Even with the most
    scattered dog.

  23. DonnaMarieHyde says:

    Victoria is PAWsome…

  24. easytigerxxx says:

I think this is probably the best method of teaching a dog to heel that I
have seen. Great stuff Victoria! 🙂

  25. goldman01jlm says:

teach her that she needs to be calm before you can put the leash on her.
What I do is I grab the leash, and as soon as my dog starts crying or
jumping around with excitement, I drop the leash, turn my back to him and
cross my arms. I don’t pay any attention to him. Make sure your body
language is tough, make sure you show time that you do not care for his
jumping or excitement. You can do all this just by turning your back and
crossing your arms and looking up. Once he calms down in any way
